Title Author Publication Year Publisher Format ISBN Cover Price Notes
Beneath the Stone C. Bruce Hunter 1998 Alexander Books Paperback 1566641470 $16.95 Acknowledging the mysteries and mystique surrounding 'The Craft', the author explores the history and symbolism of Freemasonry from the perspective of a layman trying to understand the organization. His explanations are understandable as they deliberately 'penetrate the jargon' that Freemasons so often use. His theories on the origins of the Craft have not been given wide praise yet they are, as presented, much more plausible than the current 'Templar Craze' genre. Recommended reading! - Ed King
Everything Is Under Control: Conspiracies, Cults, and Cover-ups Robert Anton Wilson; Miriam Joan Hill 1998 Collins Paperback 0062734172 $18.95 The sequel to The Illuminatus Trilogy!, light reading with considerable humor. - Ed King
Henry Ford and the Jews: The Mass Production of Hate Neil Baldwin; Albert Lee 1980 PublicAffairs Paperback 1586481630 $19.00 A provocative history that helps to understand why someone who had joined Freemasonry became so enamoured with the hatred of Jews and saw a Jewish conspiracy out to destroy the world. Ford was perhaps the world's most famous anti-Semite and Mr. Baldwin does an outstanding job explaining why. Although I normally find biographies somewhat boring, this one was a pleasure to read. - Ed King
The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark Carl Sagan; Ann Druyan 1997 Ballantine Books Paperback 0345409469 $14.95 Sagan is - as always - clear and concise. This book should be VERY high on your list! - Ed King
The Plot: The Secret Story of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion Will Eisner; Umberto Eco 2005 W. W. Norton & Company Hardcover 0393060454 $19.95 From the "Father of Graphic Novels', this book presents - in a format similar to a cartoon - a look at the hateful forgery that is accepted as fact in SO much of the world today. According to the 'Protocols', the Jews (AND the Freemasons) are plotting to take over the world. Eisner traces the roots of this, the most famous of conspiracy theories. Even the debunking of the myth in this format will not, I'm afraid, cause bigots to release their hatred. Your local library should have this book. READ IT! - Ed King
