Recognition
The Maine Masonic College offers recognition for those who complete its courses. This program has used the following assumptions:
- Education is its own reward but everyone loves a pat on the back;
- There should be multiple levels of recognition based on on-going progress;
- We don't ‘set people apart’ but want everyone to be eager to talk about their own experiences thereby encouraging others to partake as well;
- Cost of awards/recognition items is a factor because many of our courses are free.
Award Criteria
All training is based on MMCEUs - Maine Masonic College Educational Units. One MMCEU equals three hours of education provided.
Thus, half-day programs = 1 MMCEU; a whole day program = 2MMCEUs. Online programs will vary and may be fractional in tenths. “Course” videos and online programs would be assigned hours based on their content. (MMCEU value identified on the container and in the literature; determined based on item.)
You cannot claim the same course for credit more than once every two years.
Course participation involves involvement as a student, not just for course administration or kitchen help.
